IGU
An IGU, Insulating Glass Unit, is made of two or multiple glass panes separated by a spacer bar and hermetically sealed along the edges. The space between the sheets was originally filled with dry air to avoid dew. Today various gasses are used. Thermal pane is another term. See also High Performance IGU.
