The award honours projects that challenge the boundaries of the woodworking craft, where tradition meets new possibilities.
In 2026, VILLUM Window Collection receives the award in recognition of the museum’s communication of the history of windows, craftsmanship, and technological development.
We are very proud to receive the award, which we accept on behalf of the many craftspeople and collaborators who help keep the craft alive — and not least the generations of artisans who created the windows we can learn from today.
The Snedker Prize was established by the Kirsten and Freddy Johansen Foundation and is administered by Københavns Snedkerlaug.
