VILLUM Window Collection has just received a new window for its collection. The window originates from the Landsarkivet at Nuuks Plads, designed by architect Martin Nyrop.
Landsarkivet is from 1893 and is built in a national romantic style, characterized by solid, local materials and traditional craftsmanship.

Martin Nyrop is one of the foremost architects of national romanticism in Denmark and has designed notable buildings such as Copenhagen City Hall, Østre Gasværk, and Vallekilde Højskole.
The window from the archive's ground floor is bottom-hinged, featuring rolled plate glass, iron bars, and iron shutters.

The window can be seen in the museum's archive wall.
