VILLUM Window Collection Extends the Exhibition Window Behaviorology!

The special exhibition Window Behaviorology is based on research into windows and behavior. Created by the Japanese Tsukamoto Laboratory, it showcases the role of windows in architecture, focusing on behavior, building traditions, climate, and manufacturing.
The exhibition is now extended until December 2025 and can be visited during the museum's opening hours.

What You Can Experience in the Exhibition

Window Behaviorology is a study exhibition that encourages the audience to explore Tsukamoto Laboratory's research findings. The findings are presented through drawings, photographs, and publications on various themes, such as the window in the urban landscape, the window as a climate adapter, and the window as a colleague.

The Nordic Context

Tsukamoto Laboratory also traveled to Scandinavia to study Nordic modernists like Arne Jacobsen, Kay Fisker, and Alvar Aalto. They examined windows designed during a transitional period between traditional architecture and modern technology. Tsukamoto Laboratory's work on Window Behaviorology in Nordic Architecture unfolds in the exhibition alongside selected windows from the museum's collection.

Tsukamoto Laboratory

Tsukamoto Laboratory is affiliated with the Tokyo Institute of Technology, led by architect and professor Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, who is also a co-founder of the internationally acclaimed studio Atelier Bow-Wow
