Window with cladding

A window with cladding has a wooden sash and frame with metal or vinyl cladding.

Introduced in the 1950s, windows with metal cladding require very little maintenance. Typical metal window claddings include zinc, aluminium and tombac. In 1966, Andersen Windows & Doors introduced the first windows with vinyl cladding as an alternative to aluminium.
