The fully reversible window

The sash of a reversible window can be operated to allow the upper sash to move vertically relative to the lower window frame. It can be turned about 180 degrees on a horizontal axis.

The hardware for the fully reversible window – also known as the "housewife's window" – was developed in 1959 by the Norwegian engineer Harald Kvasnes.
